Learning to cook healthy homemade food on a budget is a life-long skill that will benefit anyone. Throughout February and March EastendHomes has partnered with Bags of Taste to offer residents a free four week cookery course at Southern Grove Community Centre. Classes run every Wednesday from 11am-1.30pm on the 19 Feb, 26 Feb, 4 March and 11 March.
Residents can expect to pick up straight forward cooking tips and learn how make delicious nutritious dishes like Singapore noodles, veggie fajitas and saag paneer.
There are free take home ingredients for the first 12 attendees. Halal and vegetarian options are catered for.
Mary Olsen EastendHomes Facility Co-ordinator commented:
This is a great cooking course that promises to get your taste buds going while teaching new cooking skills in a fun informal environment. What’s more it's completely free but it is first come first served we’re expecting a high demand so don’t delay in signing up.
